A Dark Wind: Poetry Time With Tim

Greetings and salutations, faithful readers! I’m Timothy Scott Purvis and once more you find yourself with a Story Time With Tim segment! True, it’s Poetry Time for the time being, however, there will be more to come before too long. I hope you’ve been enjoying these offerings and that you continue to come back week after week to enjoy more of my writing. Also, look to the end of the piece to see some links to my author’s page and promoted writing!

This week, I have this poem that I wrote in the mid 2000’s as an experiment piece on rhythm. Each paragraph holds a certain cadence versus the others. Now, I’ll have to post it here using forward slashes for each sentence but it is one whole paragraph with each line being individual to one another. To establish the rhythm of course. It isn’t bad, I wouldn’t say. Certainly, it showcases a little bit of my style as I grew as a writer.

Anyhow, hope you like and will be back later for more!

A DARK WIND

Into which mine heart may pose/Filament Castle/Never living/Over the forever door

*

Guttural feeling doth close/Making this hassle/Unforgiving/Such pitiless lore

*

Greying eyes within lost prose/What loving lasso/Soulless giving/Slamming upon the master’s shore

*

Temporal death waking rose/Thus loveless vassal/No use saving/We won’t go back anymore

And there we go! Another week come and gone! Hope the poem did something for you and I appreciate your taking the time to read. I’ll read to you again soon, everyone!
