I haven’t written anything in like a month. Every time I think that I might, I get sidetracked by life demanding every little bit of my attention. My wife is pregnant and we’re expecting a son come December. Sweetness. However, that means my time is devoted to working for that ever loving green dollar that the American Dream seems hellbent on selling us. Go to work, make some money, support the economy, they say. Yet, do so at the sacrifice of family and sanity. Because, why the hell not?
As consequence, I’m not able to blog as much as I was hoping. Gotta make that greenback right?? Still working on my new novel and I have some other projects in mind while I’m at it. Some animations, some extra writings (maybe some short stories going to some magazines if they’ll accept it, no?), some artistic endeavors and… oh yeah. I don’t have an email attached to here, do I? That’s because that’s extra. Because everything in our society is always going to be ‘extra’. You want to communicate with your followers? Give me sixty bucks and I’ll let them link up to you (by the by, my email is timothyspurvis at G and a Mail dot com, so if’n you’re feelin’ up to droppin’ me a personal line and looking for whatever new work I might be deliverin’ in the future, feel free to plug that on in and sayin’ ‘hi’ fer a spell). So, everything has a dollar sign behind it. Hell, even the whole country is hellbent on getting the economy back to roaring even though several million peoples are contaminated with that goshdarn Coronavirus and it shows no signs of going away anytime soon, but what does that matter, eh?
Anyhow, the point is, I wanted you all to know that I’m still here and I’m still writing. I know that my posts have been few and far between lately but I’m still thinking about you all. I just wanted you to know that there are ways to talk to me, if’n you can read between the lines that is. And I’ll engage with you anyway that I can. Right now, I’m thinking of ways that I can put up interesting topics to see what everybody thinks about my thoughts. I’m also working on some scripts that I might make available in the future (I’m feeling Star Wars is on uneven footings these days and I just might have some opinions on how to fix that. Courtesy of some well developed imaginings, of course!)
That having been said, I hope you’ll take advantage of my insights and come by again in the future. I’m contemplating the things I want to delve into in the middle of the worst pandemic any of us have ever experienced. And it’s looking like this might be our new reality moving forward. Oy! So, I’m sorry it’s taking me awhile to get on here and post. Like I said, I was forced back into my job or else I would have lost it. As such, my spare time is very, very limited. Which pisses me off, honestly. I’ve had a few good postings I wanted to really get into but have lacked the energy as a result of life just getting in the way.
Even so, check back often. You never know when I might have something else to share. And hopefully sooner rather than later, if you know what I mean. So, I’ll be chatting with you all soon.
